Award night pride!
September 2009
It was with intense pride and excitement that a team from Chapters attended the annual British Hairdressing Business Awards along with the cream of British hairdressing on Sunday 27th September 2009.
Presented by Hairdressers Journal International, these prestigious national awards are designed to specifically reward excellence and exceptional business practice within professional hairdressing.
You might recall Chapters Hair was one of only six finalists judged by a panel of industry experts to be the best in business within the hairdressing industry and make it through to the short-list for Retail Salon of the Year.
This category is regarded as being one of the most exciting within the British Hairdressing Business Awards as it highlights those salons that have the expert skills and qualities necessary to succeed within the highly competitive hairdressing industry. You could say we are rather pleased!
Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Hairdressers Journal International, Jayne Lewis-Orr says "Year-on-year, the standard of entries has grown and developed and the judges had a very difficult job selecting the finalists in each category. To achieve finalist status in the awards is a tremendous testimony to Chapters Hair's successful business acumen."
Although we were ultimately pipped to the post by Rush London it did not stop us all of us who went down to London having an unforgettable evening and reflecting on our considerable success on reaching what are the 'Oscars' of the hairdressing profession. It was a truly glittering and glamorous occasion.
Salon Director Chris Amos said 'Chapters' was absolutely thrilled and delighted to be a finalist for such an influential award. To be recognised amongst your peers for your business skills is a wonderful feeling. Although we didn't come away with the trophy this time the nomination was a fantastic achievement and honour. I'd like to say a big thank you to all our clients for their support and the Chapters team for all their hard work and dedication that has gone into making made 2009 an incredible year."
